It as been a long time since so many bowlers have been seen down the fields, Castlefields came alive tonightwith the top green full with practicing bowlers, the Premier lads were all eager for a game which left Captain Mark Thomas a choose on who to play & with a sprinkling of Premier lads Wem was always going to get plastered, Individual results will follow shortly |

The Hawk Team traveled the short distance to Battlefield & came away with a 6-6 draw after losing the aggregate by 2, bowlers to note where, Charlie Weaver turning over new Battlefield & County star Keith Wall at 21/17 & young Ian Booth playing is first game for Castlefields, taking on & winning against last years Captain Pete Thomson 21/17. Talking of youngsters, Michael Beer played some great bowls against Steve Duckett winning an embarrassing 21/4 & James Grimston fresh from Donnington Wood made is mark against John Nash winning 21/17. County star Glyn Herbert has now declared is intention to bowl on a Monday night, which shores up & strengthens already a strong team. |
